'Future-Past explores historic and vintage collections in order to inform and direct new
work. It will take as its starting point in-depth research (with an emphasis on drawing and
colour) related to museum textile collections.'
It took me a long time to choose a brief, this brief stood out to me the most as I have a interest in historic fashion collections and vintage clothing. I intend to start my journey with this brief at 'The Gallery of Costume' in Rusholme.
