PUTTING COLOUR IN THE CITY

Throughout this unit our goal has been to celebrate the art school through colour and channel that colour into the city, after today's group meeting we talked about covering random objects such as lamppost's, telephone boxes and traffic cones in bright pink fabric (bright pink to represent 175 logo - the school) to add colour into the city - exploring the idea of covering the city with colour, after the meeting I walked around Manchester taking photographs of busy and random area's around the city. my aim was to pick an object out of each pictures and edit using the app 'colour effect' to make it stand out in bright pink - make it look odd.

Here are some examples of the photo's I have edited -

The object's I made bright pink were as small as a sign to as large as a building. I think that these photographs are very effective. the pictures represent the art school pouring into the city and the student's 'colouring the city'.
